VBS - Promise Island 2012
The following video is his interpretation of the theme song. If you will note - he is the only boy who came up. While this is his 4th VBS, this is the first year he has been an active participant which means that this is the only time he has been in an organized group with other children.
We were quite proud of his boldness and willingness to help. And helpful he is when he realizes that the "blow up" palm tree is starting to lean. He doesn't miss much.
A relaxing Sunday afternoon.

IT'S A BOY TYLER BENSON BOND 6 lbs 12oz. 20"
The wait is over .
Tyler Benson Bond was born at 6:14, weighing 6 pounds 12 ounces and was 20 inches long.
The waiting is almost over..
Kati's water broke with a pop and gush this morning about 9:00. We took things easy for awhile waiting for contractions to pick up. Took a nice one block walk and that really helped. Got to the hospital about 11:45. She is 90% effaced and at 4 cm. Although it is cool in here she is warm. She found that flapping her hospital gown to cool her also took her mind off the contractions. I never thought of that.
1:30 we have gone to walking, rocking, half lounging on the bed. Still able to rest in between contractions which are about 3 minutes apart.
Bob's mother Kimberly arrived and I am so glad for the help she was able to give. She took over the fanning of Kati because as I said - SHE WAS HOT.
1:45 - moving around on the bed finding her laboring positions. Does not want to be touched during contractions.
2:23 - things are moving along nicely. we are now in the bathroom because it is cooler in there.
3:00 - the nurse just checked and she is 6 cm. she's getting there.
4:07 - most of the contraction discomfort is in her legs - up near the groin area. She asked for some medicine and they gave her some stadol which helped her get control of the pain. She insists that we let her do it her way. Bob massages her thigh during contractions and that is a big help.
5:00 - It feels like Kate has been in transition for hours. I forgot how self assertive she can be. That is good. When ever the nurse came in to check on her ( which was only twice) to put on the monitor things seemed to slow down. And to be honest, she just wanted to quit. Once I convinced her to just move to the bathroom and sit down for a bit things really got tense. Finally figured out how to turn the shower on and that really helped. She stood in there while we held the sprayer on - her back, her belly, her thighs. After about 1/2 hour of that she made her way back to the bed. After a quick nursey check we found she was only 8 cm. But that quickly became 10 and with about 20 minutes of pushing we had a beautiful baby with an apgar of 9 and 10.
GOD IS SO GOOD.
Still waiting.....
Nov 5, 2008 We're still holding on. Went for a walk. The trees are really starting to change colors - beautiful reds, oranges and golds. It is as beautiful here in the fall as it was in the spring. Still having crampy feelings.
Nov 6, 2008 Still holding on. Here's the bump that is holding things up. Still walking. Even spent 2 hours today at the grocery store. Mama moves slow!!!
Baby might not be ready but I think Mama is.
For you created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:13
It won't be long.....
Kati is progressing nicely. She lost her mucous plug this morning and has been having cramps off and on since last week. Right now she is resting with a heat pack over her eyes - sinuses hurt. We went grocery shopping this morning and after we got home I made a beef stew in the crock pot. Hope to make macaroni and cheese for later this week. Will keep you posted and please continue to pray for Kati to have an easy delivery. God Is Good All Time and All Time God is Good.
Know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His, we are His people the sheep of His pastures. Psalm 100:3

Now it is just a matter of waiting for BeBo to decide to join us.
Getting Ready
In a few short weeks we will be welcoming Baby BeBo into our hearts and home. Perhaps you would like to join us on this incredible journey.
This is Kati, Baby Bebo's mommy with her friend, Claire. One day she meet a man from Kentucky and so began their life together. Kati not only fell in love with Bobby but she also fell in love with the beautiful state of Kentucky. Now, they live in an area of Louisville that was built up after the turn of the 20th century. One of the favorite things we all like to do is walk around this delightful area populated with brick cottages and lovely gardens, especially in the spring.
And this is Bobby trying to figure out how to put BeBo's crib together. We all took a fun trip to IKEA and bought lots of neat things like a crib and a storage unit for baby clothes. If you have never visited IKEA you really should do so. You will be blown away. Really.
Bobby works for Romanoff Flooring and is in charge of hard wood floor installations. His passion, besides Kati and BeBo, is anything to do with Mazda's RX-7's.
And last but most important is Baby BeBo. Here he is at 28 weeks and giving us a big yawn. Yes, we know it's a boy and good thing because Grammy was buying really cute girly clothes. And yes, she returned them and bought some guy stuff. Now BeBo has lots and lots of sleepers and onesies.
Here we have the foot that has been keeping Kati awake nights. Soccer Player?????
